Farmers Market & 7th Gen Farm
Boulder has such a great farmers market! There’s one here in Louisville too but it’s a lot smaller and they don’t have as many vendors for lunch, which is one of my favorite things about the Boulder market. Right now all the fall produce is available which makes me so happy. We visited this past Saturday and stocked up on some goodies.
Beets for days! I bought some golden yellow beets that I still need to figure out what to make with. Usually I just boil and dice them and then season with salt and pepper (can’t go wrong) but I also really love making beet soup.
I went with the kale salad and falafel for lunch, it was delicious! Billy got a gyro and gobbled it up. After lunch we headed home and stopped by our local farm in Louisville to pick up some pumpkins for our front porch. This farm (7th Generation Farm) is so adorable, they have pigs, chickens, cows and goats – we’re obsessed with buying some produce from them just so we can squeal at the baby animals when we visit.
24 weeks pregnant and bumping out!
Billy picked an enormous pumpkin from the field and had to carry it back. At least 3 men working at the farm offered to help so it must have looked like he was struggling but he politely declined each time “this is my workout for the day!” He cracks me up.
