Lost Lake, Nederland
Just about every weekend, Billy and I try to go out and explore a new trail we haven’t hiked before. I found this one in Nederland which is just a little north of Boulder and it was so beautiful! Right now is such an incredible time of year in Colorado, the leaves are all changing color and the aspens are a bright yellow color that is so vibrant! I kept hearing people talk about how it’s the perfect time to go to the mountains to see the leaves change color and every time I would mention this to Billy he said that it’s so cheesy to be impressed by leaves changing color but after this hike he was legitimately impressed!!
Start of the trail head. It’s a 3.6 mile out and back trail that is dog friendly (HUGE plus!) and at the top of the trail you end up at a really picturesque lake. There are actually camp sites around the lake that Billy and I both decided would be so fun to stay at someday.
Seriously, the leaves were this bright. So beautiful!
Made it to the lake! Ellie jumped in and went swimming when we got there. The bottom of the lake was pretty muddy but Ells had no problems getting a little dirty for the hike back down.
All pictures were taking with my Canon 6D. More info on the Lost Lake hike found here.
