Mccullough Gulch Falls
In an effort to explore as much of Colorado as possible while we are living here, the hubs and I decided to go for a little day trip and check out Breckenridge, CO which is about two hours away from Boulder. We found a hike that looked fun and once we realized it was dog friendly, our friend Katie and her rescue pup Emmett decided to tag along too.
Mccullough Gulch Falls is a little over three mile long out and back trail that was so beautiful. Despite some rain when we first got started, the weather cleared up and it was perfect hiking temps.
About halfway through the hike you get to the waterfall which was gorgeous!
At the top of hike there is a crystal clear lake that our dogs loved drinking from. There was the cutest Newfoundland pup named Ruby who was close behind us the whole time with her crew while hiking up. She was such a doll and went for a dip in the lake immediately after making it to the top.
After the hike we grabbed lunch in town. The actual town of Breckenridge is absolutely adorable, the Main Street is lined with cute shops and restaurants. We had no trouble finding a spot for lunch that had a dog friendly patio (the whole town seemed super dog friendly). Loved our summertime day trip to Breckenridge, excited to come back and visit when there’s snow!
