Showering Baby Boy!
We had our baby shower a few weeks ago in San Diego and it was so incredible! Some of our dearest friends hosted the shower at their house and my girlfriends and sister planned all the games and details out.
This whole pregnancy I have been CRAVING Mexican food and there is literally no good Mexican food in Colorado so we hired a taco catering company for the food for our shower and from there a Mexican fiesta theme sort of fell into place. My girlfriend Tina got this hilarious zebra piñata from Tijuana and the little kids got to take turns swinging at it. We felt so blessed by all the effort everyone put in to make the shower a success!
My party planning girlfriends!
This was such a cute game, they had guests write funny little sayings or words of encouragement on diapers so when we’re changing dirty diapers we’ll have something to laugh at.
We played the “shoe game” where the girls would ask us questions and then we’d raise either our own shoe or our partner’s shoe to answer the questions. I’ve seen this done at bridal showers or something similar but the game worked great for a baby shower! Our guests loved it and we actually did pretty good answering all the questions the same way.
Blind folded diaper challenge! We played a couple rounds of this, with four players each time. So funny to watch the guys!
Piñata time! The kids all took turns swimming at it and eventually we had one of the older kids finish it up and break the piñata open.
My sweet niece got so upset when the kids were hitting the piñata she cried when it broke I think she thought we were hurting the animal, poor girl! Some of the other kids saw her crying and ran over and tried to offer her candy but she just wanted to put the zebra back together LOL!
My adorable chunky cousins baby! She’s 7 months old and such a doll. Everyone was loving on her.
I had some onesie animal print cookies made as shower gifts. These cookies were so adorable and SO delicious. I may have eaten more than one (oops!)
So much love for our baby boy!!
